THE FINAL HOURS (3rd in a 3 Blog Series)
My last day (Feb 3) was fun, although much more uneventful when compared to the other three shifts I worked.
It was kind of rainy that day, and so I assume this is why fewer visitors came in.
However I still had a good time talking with Leon and the other docents. We had a variety of discussions and with Leon we talked quite a bit about music history and a lot of local musicians and local music traditions.
Also, at the very beginning of my shift, there had been two visitors. One worked at another museum and one worked as a town historian. They were fascinated by our museum, and I took that as a compliment. Leon kept discussing with them facts about the museum and occasionally they would comment on the architecture. It’s really great to hear experts share their common interests with each-other.
Other than that, relatively little happened.I took great pleasure in giving one last group an introduction to the exhibit and later taking one last quick glance around.
I’ve had a good time working at the museum, and hope that I can find some spare time later to visit it again.

It’s nice to hear that other people were fascinated by the museum. It wasn’t like the other shift we had, when all the lady could ever talk about was how disappointed she was with the new look of the museum.
